上海教科实验中学读书节“十里书香，一揽芳华”的余温未尽，BC国际课程又举办了第一届“朗读者”活动。 本次活动由中方课程组老师组织，“真识”文学社承办，旨在鼓励学生用动听的声音，传播文字的力量。

After the ‘Reading festival’ in our campus, the first ‘The Reader’ activity is held by the BC program. This activity is organized by the Chinese teachers and literary club, and ‘The Reader’ mainly encourages students to use their impressive voice spreading the power of Chinese characters.

本次活动通过第一轮海选，在44组报名者中选出了14组选手， 由文学社社长郑欣婕担任访谈者。每个走上台的朗读者，需要用自己的声音和语调，与观众分享那些触动他们内心的文字，把来源于书中或激情或澎湃，或温润或细腻的情感表达出来，同时加入自己对生活、对人生的体验，将自己想说的故事讲给观众们听。

During the first round of this activity, there are totally 44 groups participating into it, and only 14 groups are assigned to the final competition which is going to present their performance among all the students and teachers from the BC program. Anna Zheng, who is the leader of the literary club, is the interviewer of this activity. During the final competition, each student from different groups is going to use his or her own voice and different tones to express their understanding and emotion of the passage they like, which is like describing his or her own story to the audience.

朗读是情感的表达，内心的流露，它将读书从暖阳下一方书桌、一捧香茗间的悠闲自得、腊雪寒梅夜的炉茶鼎、坐对韦编的安然自在中升华，赋予了书本更鲜活的意义。

开场的朗读者是来自12年级的Tina，一个文静又爱唱歌的姑娘。在教科的三年，她曾多次站在舞台上用她甜美的嗓音唱歌、主持。她选择的是一首顾城的朦胧诗《我们去寻找一盏灯》，依旧是温柔甜美的嗓音，依旧是轻柔舒缓的语调，她的声音传递出的是安静的力量，对温暖的追求，带着听众走进那神秘而宁静的文字世界。

The starter of the final competition is Tina from Grade 12. Tina is a quiet girl who likes singing. In the past three years in our school, she sang and held lots of events on the stage several times with her sweet voice. This time she chooses a poem from Mr. Gu and its name is ‘we look for a light’. She uses her sweet voice to bring all the audience into a warm and quiet world.

最让人动容的是第8组选手Sam和Frank，他们选择的文本是《背影》节选。这个大家从小就会背的散文，却被两个已然成年的男孩读出厚重的叹息。Sam说：“我家在外地，初中起我就在上海念书，爸爸每周会来接送我。年幼不知父母的辛劳，如今回望，诸多愧疚。此时此刻再读这篇文章，比小时候更加懂得了月台上朱自清内心的酸楚。出国在即，我们都即将经历与父母的离别，希望我们都能去理解父母，少些朱自清的愧疚。”

The most impressive group is the eighth group and the presenters are Sam and Frank. They chose a short passage from ‘father’s back’. This story which expresses the guilty and memory to the father from a son is quite famous among all the students and teachers. Two boys use their deep voice to make audience recall their memory about their fathers. During the interview, Sam said “my home is not in Shanghai, since Grader six I started to study in Shanghai, every week my father picked me up from school and sent me to school. When I was young, I did not realize it is really tired for my parents and sometimes I even blames for them. When I recall this time period, I feel guilty and sorry for my ignorance towards the love from parents. Next year, we are going to study abroad and say goodbye to our parents, I hope everyone can understand the love from his or her parents.

节目的高潮出现在《做好一道菜》这一组，四名选手将一道“水蒸蛋”的菜谱读得字正腔圆，引得听众捧腹大笑。他们并不是单纯来活跃气氛的，他们说，之所以选择“水蒸蛋”，是因为它代表了“家的味道”，希望出国在外的游子，都能学会这道菜，时时感受到家的温暖。

The most unforgettable group is from ‘Making a good dish’. Four students stand on the stage and read the recipe of ‘boiling egg’, which is a traditional Chinese cuisine. What is more, the performance makes all the audience laugh a lot. The reason why they choose this topic is this cuisine represents the flavor from home. They hope when people study abroad, they can understand how to cook this cuisine and feel they are at home all the time while making it.

本场活动设置了“人气投票”和“专业评分”两类评选，听众通过扫描二维码为喜欢的选手投票，最终选出三组最高人气奖。同时，中方课程组的老师根据选手的朗读、文本选择和陈述，为每组选手进行专业评选。

This activity has two prizes which are ‘the top three popular group’ which is going to be chosen by the audience through QR code system, and teachers will form in a group to give score for each group and choose the three highest groups and give rewards.

第一届“朗读者”落下帷幕，但希望学生们的阅读热情会一直延续下去，为文学而读，为思想而读，为自己而读。

Although the first ‘The Reader’ activity has ended, we hope students to continue reading with their great passion.
